With developers from Apple and Google, IMO award-winning mathematicians, Marie Curie-funded speech therapists and experienced business strategists from Morgan Stanley, we combine technological excellence with clinical and strategic expertise with a single goal: To develop the best therapy solution for people with neurological deficits.



The Origin Story

The basic idea behind our solutions comes from one of our three founders, Dr. Philipp Schöllauf, who worked as a doctor in the rehabilitation of stroke patients.

He saw how well many patients progressed in their recovery within the clinic, and how difficult it was for them to maintain this progress after discharge.

This is how our therapy app myReha came about.

And since then, an interdisciplinary team of experts in neurology, machine learning and regulatory science has been developing innovative therapy solutions for the efficient care of patients with neurological diseases.

Meet Our Founder Team

Mag. Moritz Schöllauf

Co-Founder, CEO

Lawyer by training with a specialization in regulatory law. Moritz brings extensive expertise in medical device regulation, data protection, and compliance, ensuring nyra health’s products meet the highest MDR and ISO standards. As CEO, he leads corporate strategy, partnerships, and regulatory operations, bridging legal precision with entrepreneurial execution and positioning nyra for scalable, compliant growth across Europe.

Mario Zusag, MSc

Co-Founder, CTO

Machine learning scientist with degrees from TU Vienna (B.Sc. Computer Science) and Imperial College London (M.Sc. Machine Learning). Before founding nyra health, Mario worked on multimodal learning at Google Brain and holds two patents from IBM Research for applied AI innovations. He leads nyra’s technical strategy that power the company’s multimodal neurorehabilitation platform.

Dr. Philipp Schöllauf

Co-Founder, CSO

Neurologist with clinical experience in neuro-rehabilitation and stroke care across leading hospitals including Charité Berlin, LMU Munich, and the Medical University of Vienna. Philipp leads the development of nyra health’s evidence-based therapy framework, clinical research program, and scientific partnerships, while also driving business development and reimbursement negotiations with clinics, insurers, and the DRV.
